Kenyatta University Career Fair
In 2022 a technical lab for biomedical students was inaugurated at Kenyatta University supported by B. Braun Kenya and four other Medtech companies.
Coordinated by GIZ this project of the Kenyan Government aims at a high-level education of biomedical engineers. B. Braun supports the program with infusion pumps and dialysis machines.
The Career Fair conducted on November 18th 2022 was meant to initiate a dialogue between the students and the industry about future job perspectives in the Medtech industry. Two representatives of B. Braun Kenya provided an overview of B. Braun in Kenya and the international B. Braun organization. In a second session they gave an insight into the role of biomedical engineers within the production process of medical devices. The audience of about 100 biomedical students that are enrolled in the program engaged in a lively discussion that sharpened their perception of their future career paths in the industry. In the afternoon this discussion was continued at the B. Braun booth where individual students had the chance to meet the experts of B. Braun in one-on-one discussions. B. Braun Kenya thanks Kenyatta University for the organization and GIZ for the coordination of this educational initiative.
